Aladdin Connect: All parents are asked to ensure they have access to Aladdin Connect, communication, permissions and collection of monies will be carried out through this platform.
Board of Management 2023-2027: Our current Board of Management will end its term on 30th November, a new Board of Management will then be formed. A meeting will take place in November to select two parent nominees for the new board. We encourage all parents to attend and have their say on who carries out the role of Parent’s Nominees on our new school board.
Swimming Lessons: Swimming lessons continue for Ms. King’s and Mr. McGlynn’s classroom on Fridays. Lessons will conclude on Friday 24th November.
Crazy Hair Day: Thank you to all who donated to Our Crazy Hair Day, €375 was raised for Mary’s Meals. This will ensure food for 17 children for a year.
Sacrament Dates: Confirmations – Sunday March 3rd @ 1pm – St. Mary’s Church, Convoy. First Holy Communion – Saturday 27th April @11am – St. Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen.
Wainfest: Children from 3rd – 6th class visited Letterkenny Library for activities as part of the Wainfest programme.
Cumann na Bunscoil Football: Both our boys and girls Gaelic Football team take part in a Cumann na Bunscoil blitz on Wednesday 18th October 2023.
Student Council: Elections will be held this Friday 20th October in each classroom to form our student council.
Hallowe’en: Children will dress up on Friday 27th October. School closes at the normal time of 3pm on Friday 27th October, school reopens on Monday November 6th 2023. Children attending swimming may dress up when they return to school if they wish.
Child Safeguarding Statement: Our Child Safeguarding Statement and Anti- Bullying Policy will be reviewed at our next Board of Management meeting. Parents are invited to view our statement and policy on our school website and submit any feedback on our policy.
Parent Teacher Meetings: Will be held on Wednesday 22nd November 2023 from 2:30pm – 6pm. School closes for all children at 2pm on the day. Bookings will be completed through Aladdin Connect.
Drop off/Pick Up: We remind parents to use the one – way system, around the back of the hall and drop off when driving past the school gate. Please be mindful not to block the entrance to back of the hall if parking at collection times.
