We are delighted to welcome all pupils back to school after the May Bank Holiday weekend. We are looking forward to a busy final term of the year. We hope to continue all the hard work and carry out some fun activities. We thank all our parents, pupils, staff and Board of Management for their communication and support throughout the Covid 19 Pandemic.
First Holy Communion & First Confession: The sacrament of Confession was held today and children from second class will celebrate their First Holy Communion on Saturday May 7th at 11am.
Standardised Testing: All children from first – sixth class will carry out standardised tests during the week beginning May 16th.
School Tours: As part of the Peace Project all children will go on two school outings in the final term. The junior class will visit Ballyshannon Farm and The Glebe Gallery while all other classes will visit Rockhill Adventure Park and The Glebe Gallery.
Soccer: All children will have soccer coaching on a Friday for the final term.A tarmac league will be held for pupils in 4th-6th class in the final term.
Athletics: We will hold athletics trials on Thursday 5th June at Drumkeen United grounds, those who qualify will take part in the Primary School Athletics, next Wednesday 11th May.
Tables & Chairs: Our school will replace a number of tables and chairs during the summer holidays, these will be made available to anyone, free of charge. More information available by contacting the office.
Wellbeing Week: Our school will hold a wellbeing week on Mon 9th-13th May 2022. Children will complete wellbeing workshops and activities throughout the week.
Active Week: This will take place from 13th – 17th June, we will hold our annual Sport’s Day on Fri 17th June 2022.
School Calerndar 2022/23: Our school calendar for next year will be finalised and distributed at the beginning of June.
Playground Equipment: A combined soccer/gaelic and basketball goal has been installed on the tarmac court. We thank Smart Steps for securing this funding and installing the goals.
School Closure: School will be closed on Monday June 6th for a Bank Holiday and our school closes for the Summer Holidays on Thursday 23rd June at 12pm.
