Admissions for 2026/27: Our deadline for applications was 13th February. All late applications will be dealt with in accordance with our Admissions Policy. Letters of offer will be sent to those who have already applied.                                            

SSE Community Fund: We would like to acknowledge and thank SSE Renewables Meentycat and Culliagh Community Fund for the grant awarded for an upgrade to our school’s lighting. Work will be carried out over the Easter break.

Credit Union Quiz: Well done to 5th Class pupils Conor Ward, Caiden Bonner, Ruairí Crossan and Edward Harkin who competed in the Ballybofey and Stranorlar Credit Union Quiz on Monday 9th February. The team placed 5th overall.  

Internet Safety Talk: Garda Brenda Healy visited senior classes on Tuesday 10th February to speak to the pupils about safe internet use. This was part of Internet Safety Week.

St. Brigid Cross Making: Thank you to everyone who came along on Thursday 29th January to help with St Brigid’s Cross making. It was lovely to see so many people giving their time and sharing their skills. The children really enjoyed taking part and learning about this important tradition.

Sportshall Athletics: Well done to our 4 teams, made up from pupils in 3rd-6th Class, who took part in the Sportshall Athletics Competition on Tuesday 24th February in St. Columba’s College, Stranorlar. They represented the school with pride in a variety of relay, jumping and throwing events. Our 3rd and 4th Class girls’ team have qualified for the county final to be held in March. A fantastic achievement!

Peaceplus Activities: All classes are travelling to Citadel Gymnastics for 4 weeks along with Glenmaquin N.S. and Convoy Joint N.S. Lessons will conclude on 11th March for JI-3rd and on 2nd March for 4th-6th. Pupils may wear their own, comfortable clothing on these days.

Book Fair: The Scholastic book fair will take place during the week of 2nd March. A variety of books and stationery will be available for pupils to purchase.

Sacraments: Confirmations will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Convoy on Sunday 1st March at 1pm. We extend our best wishes to our nine 6th Class pupils as they receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit on this special and significant occasion in their faith journey. Confessions for all 6th Class pupils will take place on Friday during school time. First Confession to take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen on Tuesday April 21st at 7pm.  First Holy Communions take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen on Saturday May 16th at 11am.  Service of Light took place on Thursday 12th February at 7pm in St. Patrick’s Church. Thank you to Fr. Kelly for a lovely ceremony. Confirmation pupils visited St. Eunan’s Cathedral on Thursday 12th February along with Confirmation pupils from Convoy and Raphoe. Thank you again to Fr. Kelly for the informative, guided tour of the cathedral.

School Closures: The school will close Friday 13th March to facilitate staff training in the new Primary Curriculum Framework. As per school calendar, the school will remain closed on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th March. School closes on Friday 27th March at 12pm for the Easter Holidays and will reopen on Monday the 13th April.

School Opening Times: The school building opens at 9:10am to receive our pupils. Our official start time of the school day is 9:20am. We ask that all pupils are in school by 9:20am for morning activities.
